National Anthem Try-outs
Saturday, March 11th at Augusta Mall
AUGUSTA,
GA – The GreenJackets will hold their 2017 National Anthem Auditions, presented
by Turner’s Keyboards, on Saturday, March 11th at the Augusta Mall, from 11AM –
1PM. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity allowing contestants the
opportunity to perform the Star Spangled Banner for your chance to possibly
sing in front of thousands of fans at a GreenJackets home game this season.
The
GreenJackets have partnered with Turner’s Keyboards to host the auditions from
11:00AM-1:00PM, Saturday, March 11th. Auditions will be hosted by Bryan
Axelson, DUB, of KICKS99 and Lisa Turner-Maddox, owner of Turner’s Keyboards on
Washington Rd., will be a celebrity judge for the auditions along with a few
others. The Try-outs will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We
are excited to bring this event back to the Augusta Mall and work with Kicks99
to make this one of the best years yet," said Augusta GreenJackets General
Manager Tom Denlinger. “This is just another way of showcasing our commitment
to the CSRA's community as it provides the CSRA a great opportunity to showcase
their talents in a fun way.” The national anthem auditions will be performed a
cappella or with instruments that do not use electricity.
Singers
can apply individually or as a group. All applicants/ performers can register
on Saturday, March 11th at 11AM in the JCPenney center court of the Augusta
Mall.

Performance
times are subject to availability. Decisions will not be made the day of the
event, and all who audition will be notified at a later date with regards to a
performance at Lake Olmstead Stadium. All judges' decisions are final.

is FREE). 10am the fun kicks off with the last Opening Night at the Lake
tickets on-sale, Yard Sale, Touch-a-Truck, food sampling and more!
