SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds, Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, will be spreading the excitement of the upcoming season with social media contests and tour stops throughout the Delmarva community via the Countdown to Opening Night campaign.
Fans will be able to win prizes and receive
special offers on social media, so make sure to like the Shorebirds on Facebook

put out on social media regarding the different tour stops during the Countdown
to Opening Night. Some contests on social media that will occur will be
Snapchat Sunday, Twitter Tuesday, Win Stuff Wednesday, Pi Day, National Joe
Day, Area Code Day (4/10), and National Pet Day, among others.

“We are really excited about all the new and
exciting things going on at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium this upcoming season. With
baseball season right around the corner, we want to get out in the community
and get our fans just as excited as we are. The weather is starting to warm up
and it’s time for the Delmarva community to start thinking about baseball
again,” said Shorebirds General Manager, Chris Bitters.
The Shorebirds are scheduled to play an
exhibition game against Salisbury University on Tuesday, April 4th at Arthur W. Perdue
Stadium at 6:05 PM. Opening Night at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium is set for Thursday, April 13th against the
Hagerstown Suns at 7:05 PM after the Shorebirds begin their 2017 season on the road.
